Our “Holiday News Flash” summarizes LENS’ activities and achievements in 2022. Our sponsorship of summer camps and fall fieldtrips for Boothbay region schools were huge successes – ones that encouraged problem-solving; promoted team-building; fostered outdoor-learning; encouraged stewardship; and formed new friendships amongst students from neighboring communities. We piloted a sailing program for teachers that was informative, enjoyable and rejuvenating after another long year of COVID in the schools.
